Syllabi: Week of February 8

We are flipping our schedule this week. The periods will be 1, 8, 9 in the morning and then 2 and 3 in the afternoon.

Math 1st and 3rd Period
Important Information
• Students will have a quiz over Chapter 6 on Tuesday, Feb 9.
• Students will have a TEST over Chapters 6 and 7 on Thursday, February 18.
• Stock Market Project: Students will be trading their “money” every Friday over the course of six weeks. The student with the most profit at the end of six weeks will WIN a trip to Nick’s for lunch!!! This Friday students can earn TWO extra credit points by bringing in THURSDAY’S business section with the stock prices. Remember I am checking in papers before 1st period by the locker bay.

Important Information:
• Students will spend the entire week doing research on their catastrophic event. Although they will have class time students will need to do research at home too.
• Upcoming research due dates:
o Wednesday 2/10: Students need to have at least 15 note cards done.
o Friday 2/11: Collect students final note cards (minimum of 25)
• The 5th Reading Log is due on Friday, February 12. Don’t forget signatures!!!
