Reading/LA Syllabus: Week of September 19

Important Information:

·         We began our first novel, Freak the Mighty, last week.  Students are expected to keep up with their assigned reading and may even be given a pop quiz or two to make sure they are reading (hint, hint…).  Please resist the urge and do not read ahead!   You need your novel in class every day.

Explain and Assign Vocabulary Groups

Homework: Complete your vocabulary card for the Vocabulary Group Meeting on Thursday.  Read Chapters 5-7 (pages 21-40) and complete Chapter 5-7 comprehension questions- due Thursday.
